Given Portugal's recent results taking away the Demark game on Friday its still very  hard to convincingly say Portugal will be clear favourites to win the game.  A 1-0 loss to Norway raised a few eye brows with former coach Carlos Queiroz, that followed by a 4-4 draw with minnows Cyprus, a country that would never dream scoring 2 past Portugal but found themselves having scored 4 and the rest was history, little did they care they also conceded 4, to Cyprus they won the game and to the Portuguese supporters they might as well have.

Today sees the first ever encounter of Portugal Vs Iceland there will be little many people know about Iceland, apart from their recession and their volcano that caused worldwide meltdown and along it 'bankrupting' a few airlines.

This will be a fresh start to Paulo Bento, initial nerves out of the way in the first game where a 3-1 score line seemed to at least temporarily keep away the bad press.
